A little inspired by the snowstorm we just had. Base color is Nina Ultra Pro’s Twinkle Twinkle.
Just a cute little tropical/floral design :)
Daily/Weekly Nail Challenge #20: Soap Bubbles
Today’s challenge theme is bubbles! I loved playing with soap bubbles as a kid, simply because the rainbow colors they give off (reflection and refraction of light, physics physics physics) are so pretty. So I wanted my nails to give off that same effect!

Daily/Weekly Nail Challenge #11: Greek!
Today’s challenge has a Greek theme, and I wanted to do something different than the Grecian Dress design that I did a while back. One of my favorite patterns is the Greek fret/key pattern, so I decided to alter it a little bit and use it for this challenge!

Daily/Weekly Nail Challenge #10: Zebra Print
I never thought we’d end up doing a common design! I haven’t done zebra print in a very long time, so it was the perfect opportunity to get some practice in. This was also my first try using The Best Glue Ever with my nail foil! This stuff is AMAZING.

After a long wait, it has finally arrived… The Best Glue Ever!
As you may or may not know, one of my favorite nail art accessories is nail foil. Here are a few designs I’ve done with the unicorn of accessories (click on them to view them):
When I buy my foil (DollarNailArt.com!), it comes with its own foil glue. It does a good job with tackiness and hold, but I need something that let’s me have a little more control with placement (lines, detailing, etc.).
I’m a die-hard fan of Robin Moses, and she’s the reason I use nail foil! She’s done so many awesome things with foil, but the glue she uses is The Best Glue Ever by Scraperfect. Everything turns AWESOME. After about a year of debating with myself, I decided to give it a try and it came in the mail yesterday!
I have yet to use it (hopefully in a nail design coming tomorrow), but you can click the links below to see the awesome designs Robin has done with TBGE and nail foil!
A fan asked me where I get my supplies from. Well, awesome fan, I’d be more than happy to share with you and others who have asked!
I buy my brushes from Sally Beauty. If you don’t have a Sally Beauty in your area, you can always order from SallyBeauty.com! You can also buy brushes from Amazon or eBay.
My nail foils, laser lace, glitters, and my new rhinestones (that I still haven’t used yet!) are ordered from DollarNailArt.com. According to my knowledge, nail foil (and laser lace) cannot be found in stores (I’ve called to multiple beauty supply stores and none of them even know what I’m talking about), and this is the best place to order them from. They ship all over!
Some of my other glitters were from my competitive cheerleading days. I also have glitter that I bought from Claire’s about 6 years ago.
Other places to buy glitter (There are plenty more, you just have to search! Google is your friend)
- Etsy.com (Search for ‘cosmetic glitter’ and you will get great results)
Opal Swirl nail foil over L’Oreal VIP Status. This foil is awesome because it’s perfect for layering and gives this cool rainbow shine, like soap bubbles! Get it at DollarNailArt.com!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! The cloud cover is blocking the sun, keeping me from showing you how glittery and shiny these are.
I forgot to post these! I did these on October 30, 2011. I followed a nail art tutorial at RobinMoses.com, click here to get the look! :)
