Daily/Weekly Nail Challenge #14: Abstract Cosmic Waves
Today’s theme is waves! At first, I was going to build on the Ocean Twist nails I did back in 2012. But I knew deep down inside, I didn’t want to take the easy way out. Time to think of something new! So I came up with this abstract design that sort of reminded me of cosmic waves. These are the times when I love neon polishes more than I already do!
Colors Used
Savvy - French Cafe
China Glaze - Purple Panic
China Glaze - Creative Fantasy
Nina Ultra Pro - Solar Flare
Nina Ultra Pro - Orange Flame
Sally Hansen - Flash
Sinful Colors - Glass Pink
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
Sinful Colors - Black on Black

What’s on my hands? Stardust nails! It’s nothing new, but this is the first time I’ve tried it. I’ve watched countless tutorials and seen plenty of photos and all I could think was “Wow, this looks like a gooey mess. Layering 8 different colors isn’t something I’m into.” However, at 4 o’clock in the morning, something hit me and said “Well, you can’t knock it ‘til you try it.” So, I found my own way of doing it and it turned out better than I expected! The pictures don’t do the design justice; I’m going to try to get a better photo when I actually have time to take pictures in sunlight.

EDIT: The following day, it rained and rained and rained, so I couldn’t get a picture with sunlight. I will make sure to do a tutorial on this!
